My mountain banjos are built on the classic Frank Proffitt / Stanley Hicks design. The can be made from new timber with sharp slick lines and a more modern playing action, or they can be simply made using timber from reclaimed furniture - the wood still sport the dings and marks from its previous life. I also do series called The Old Timer model where I carry out various ageing techniques to give that authentic antique look.
